Elizabeth Moreno was born and raised in La Paz, Baja California Sur, México. In 2002 she moved to the U.S.A. to study and obtained an AAS in Photography at Colorado Mountain College in 2005. While in college her photographs were selected for the PDN Photo Annual 2006 under the student category.
In Colorado, she worked in the Fine Art printing field and as an intern and Lab Tech at Anderson Ranch Arts Center. In 2008 she moved back to La Paz to start working on personal documentary projects.
Since then she has obtained two grants to develop her projects and her work has been exhibited in two solo exhibits at her hometown, and in Colorado. Also she has been part of colective exhibits in Mexico City, Oaxaca, Mérida, and at the Center for Documentary Studies at Duke University as a 1st prize winner of the Dayligth/CDS Photo Awards Work in Progress category.
She is based in La Paz, México and works as a freelance documentary photographer for different NGO's, and local publications.
