Elizabeth Moreno was born in La Paz, Baja California Sur, México in 1983. When she was 19 she moved to the US to study Photography and after getting an Associate Degree she worked for 3 years as an Assistant in the Fine Art Printing field and as a Lab Manager Assistant at Anderson Ranch Arts Center. She moved back to México last April to pursue her passion and start a career in photojournalism.
While in college her photographs appeared in the Student Union section of Shutterbug Magazine and a couple of months later they were selected for the PDN Photo Annual 2006 under the student category.
At this moment Elizabeth is based in her hometown working on a personal project about the drastic transformation of the landscape along the Baja Peninsula which is being funded by a State Government Institution through a grant for young artists. Along with this project she is also working on other local documentary stories.
